Why STEM?

What exactly is STEM, and why should we care about it?

STEM, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, has become extremely important in our society, and its relevance is only expected to increase in the future. 

Why Games?

Kids are naturally curious and many games are naturally problem solving.

Many games contain and encourage STEM.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills – games make it fun

  • Encourage student to be interested in how the world functions

  • Encourage students in learning how technology works

  • How technology can develop and affect human life, health and well being

  • Develop math skills

  • Critical thinking

Teacher and Students in Science Class

This includes the obvious subjects such as biology, chemistry and physics, but also includes subjects such as psychology, geology and astronomy.

This broad subject area includes topics such as computer science, software development, AI and programming.

This is not exhaustive but the four main areas of engineering are chemical, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering.

This area includes not only geometry, fractions, algebra and statistics, but math also encompasses subjects related to economics.
